Here's an idea of what you can expect before, during and after your portrait session...

 

Initial Consultation
When you call to book your session, we'll have a chat with you over the phone to discuss your expectations for your Family Portraits. We'll talk about what you and your family are planning to wear and whether our studio, your home, or another location would be best for your session.  We'll also see if you have any specific plans in mind for your photos. Be sure to take your childrens' schedules (including nap times) into account when planning what time to have the session.

Portrait Session
This is where the magic happens! We'll get together either at our studio or another location for a 90 minute portrait session where we'll focus on creating beautiful and fun family portraits. We'll photograph your whole family together of course, but will also try different combinations of family members- just the kids, for example. Your session fee is due at the time of your session.

Viewing & Ordering
Before you leave your portrait session, we'll be sure to schedule an appointment for you to come back to view and order your photos. We can usually accomodate you the following week, and the session runs about two hours. At this appointment you will be placing your order, so please make sure all decision makers are present. We'll look at edited photos from your session and we'll choose your favorites. You will then select the package or al a carte items you wish to order. Payment is required in full at the time you place your order. We accept Cash, Check, Visa, Discover and Mastercard.

Delivery
Your finished pieces will be ready for pick up within three weeks of placing your order. We will give you a call when your order is ready!

 

 

 

We're happy to answer absolutely any questions you have before your session,
but here are a few questions we are usually asked beforehand...

 

When will we get to see our photos?
We will schedule your proofing session within two weeks of your session.

Do you limit the number of poses I can order from?
No!!!! There are absolutely no pose fees, or limit on the number of photos you can order from.

Can you come to our house?
Absolutely! Family portraits that are photographed in your own home are more personalized and young children are often more at ease.

Will the photos be retouched?
Yes, we retouch every photo before you even see them, so you never have to worry about a blemish or stray hair.

Can we shoot somewhere else?
Yes! If there is a particular place that is favorite spot for you and your family we are happy to do the shoot there! Mendon Ponds is one of our most popular locations for family shoots.

Can I use these photos on Facebook?
Many of our packages include facebook files from all of the images you order. They'll be available on our Facebook fan page after you place your order.
